CAP.GOV Requests

CAP.GOV email addresses are provided through eServices for eligible CAP positions only as listed in listed in CAPR 20-1. If you serve in one of the capacities listed below, follow the instructions in this document to request your cap.gov email address. Otherwise, follow the instructions below for a Maryland Wing address.

Eligible Wing-level personnel: Wing Commander, Vice Commander, Chief of Staff, Inspector General, Director of Safety, Government Relations Advisor, Legal Officer, Director of Operations, Director of Communications, Director of Aerospace Education, Director of Professional Development, Director of Cadet Programs, Director of Logistics, Administration Officer, Personnel Officer, Director, Recruiting & Retention Officer, Plans & Programs Officer, Public Affairs Officer, Finance Officer, Information Technology Officer, Wing Chaplain, Wing Historian, Health Services Officer.

MDWG.CAP.GOV Requests

MDWG.CAP.GOV emails are now available for all active MDWG CAP members. If you would like a personalized Maryland Wing CAP email address, please submit this form and one will be created for you following verification of your active status.

MD Wing email addresses must be in firstname.lastname format. You may use a shortened firstname (joe vs. joseph), or if you go by your middle name, you may use that, but no nicknames or call signs can be used.

Acceptable Use: As with all CAP resources, and in accordance with CAP-R 120-1 Acceptable Use and other policies therein, any misuse or abuse of your mdwg.cap.gov email address and it will be revoked.

Passwords: You will be provided a random password when the account is created. Please change it on first use and follow these Best Practices concerning passwords:

  1. At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
  2. At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
  3. At least one special character (!@#$%^&)
  4. At least one number (0-9)
  5. Passwords should be changed periodically for additional security (AT LEAST annually)
  6. Passwords should never shared with anyone
  7. The same password should not be used with any other account
